Donna Wright has been a practising visual artist for over twenty five years and a practice-led researcher for almost twenty years. She has been the recipient of national and international art and research grants including the recipient of Arts Queensland Individual Artists' Grants, and residencies at the Centre International d’Accueil et d'Echanges des Récollets in Paris. Over the past few years, Donna’s art practice has explored the impacts of cultural memory, its residues and movements across generations, the part it plays in evoking feelings of longing, belonging and reconnection, and its aesthetic influences on the way we perceive, shape and engage in the world around us.

Revisiting Colour in 2018

From 2018, Donna will be revisiting her earlier research in non-iconographic abstraction and will be picking up again on her greatest passion, COLOUR. She will be posing the question: How do the relational qualities of colour communicate cultural expression across time and place and how does this expression inform intrapersonal communicology?

A dedicated website will be created for the research - stay tuned!
